• Specialization Requirements:
  1. For the following departments, a postgraduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB) in the relevant subject from an institution recognized by the National Medical Commission (previously MCI) or the National Board of Education (NBE) is required:
  – Anaesthesiology, Dermatology, ENT, Emergency Medicine, Family and Sports Medicine (FSM), Medicine, Microbiology, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G), Pharmacology, Pathology, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM & R), Radiology, Radiation Oncology, Surgery, Social and Preventive Medicine (Community Medicine), Tuberculosis and Chest (Pulmonary Medicine), Nuclear Medicine.
  2. For the Anatomy Department:  A postgraduate qualification in MS (Anatomy) or M.Sc (Medical Anatomy) with a Ph.D. in Medical Anatomy is required

  3. For the Biochemistry Department : A postgraduate qualification in MD (Biochemistry) or M.Sc (Medical Biochemistry) with a Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry is required.
  4. For the Physiology Department:  a postgraduate qualification in MD (Physiology) or M.Sc (Medical Physiology) with a Ph.D. in Medical Physiology is required.

  Super Specialization Requirements:
  1. For Medical Super Specialties (Cardiology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Medical Oncology): A postgraduate qualification in MD/DNB in General Medicine is required.
  2. For Surgical Super Specialties (Plastic Surgery, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS), Neurosurgery, Urology, Paediatric Surgery): A postgraduate qualification in MS/DNB in General Surgery is required.
  3. Candidates with DM/M.Ch./DNB in the respective super specialty subject will be given preference or additional weightage.

• A candidate must be at least 21 years old and no more than 45 years old as of January 1, 2024.

  Age Relaxation: The following category-wise age relaxations apply:

  – Persons with Disabilities (PWD): 10 years

• Rs.57,700/- – Rs.1,82,400/- PM (Academic level 10) plus other allowances as admissible under Rules.
