Short Description : State Eligibility Test (SET) is a competitive examination administered by the State Level Eligibility Test Commission (SLET) in Assam (NE Region). This exam aims to identify a qualified pool of candidates for potential appointment as Assistant Professors, akin to the National Eligibility Test (NET) organized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). | SLET Exam 2024 Eligibility |
- Applicants should have obtained a minimum of 55% marks (without rounding off) in their Master’s Degree or an equivalent examination from universities or institutions recognized by the UGC, if they belong to the General/Unreserved/General-EWS category. However, candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disability (PWD) categories, as well as Other Backward Classes (OBC) belonging to the non-creamy layer, are eligible to take the test if they have secured a minimum of 50% marks (without rounding off) in their Master’s degree or an equivalent examination.
- Applicants who have either completed or are in the final year of their qualifying Master’s degree, with pending results, or those whose qualifying examinations have been postponed, are eligible to apply for this test.

Prospective candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are invited to submit their applications for the entrance test through the official SLET Portal. To apply, follow the steps outlined below:
