The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct CTET January 2024 of the 18th edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on 21-01-2024 (Sunday). The test will be conducted in twenty languages in135 cities all over the country. The detailed information Bulletin containing details of examination ,syllabus, languages, eligibility criteria, examination fee, examination cities and important dates will be available on CTET official website. The online application process will start from 03-11-2023. The last date for submitting online application is 23-11-2023 and fee can be paid upto 23-11-2023 till 11:59 pm.

CTET January 2024 Examination Qualification Details
Paper I Eligibility Criteria (Class 1 to 5)
  1. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
  2. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 Norms OR
  3. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
  4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
  5. Bachelor Degree Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) (a) who has acquired the qualification or Bachelor of Education from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two year of such appointment as primary teacher OR
  6. Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in final year of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
Paper 2 Eligibility Criteria (Class 6 to 8)
  1. Bachelor Degree and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
  2. At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in final year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).  OR
  3. Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE Norms OR
  4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  5. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
  6. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. / (B.Ed Special Education)
  7. Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET. OR
  8. Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in final year of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

Structure of CTET January 2024 Examination
All questions in CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of whichone answer will be most appropriate. Each carrying one mark and there will be no negative
(i) Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
(ii) Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

How to Apply CTET January 2024
1.The candidate applying for CTET January 2024 is required:-
i) To go through the Information Bulletin carefully with the entire requirement therein.
ii) To satisfy eligibility to appear in the examination.
iii) To submit On-line application by giving full particulars by accessing the CTET official website https://ctet.nic.in.
iv) To write complete mailing address with Postal PIN Code at the time of applying.
v) Before submission of application form, decide the mode of payment of fee.
vi) To keep the Confirmation Page along.
vii) If a candidate submits on-line more than one application, his/her candidature shall be liable to be cancelled and the candidate may also be debarred for future examination(s).No communication will be sent in this regard.
